This is a miracle week! WOOW!

We are still planning sister’s wedding but this week has been a week with a lot of surprises. Three days ago my sister called me with the news that she was having a fight with her fiancé because they cannot agree about who is going to pay what and who is going to clean what and when and other relationship’s issues.  I was having a long conversation with my sister about it and after more than twelve hours of conversation with the same theme, they concluded and agreed to get marry and continuing with the planning of their wedding. This makes me happy but WOW how hard was to get alone on this. Well, at last they fixed the difference.  What a week!

So very early this morning my sister called me and at this time we were discussing about the invitations for the wedding. They created a list of invites but now the issue was who is going to invite who and how many. Well, again we were talking about the idea to confirm in advance with her family, close relatives and friend first so he knows how many he can counts left. She liked the idea and he agreed. Yes!  Well, at least they could agree and be happy about this.

I am going to wait after July so I can get two beautiful dresses, one for early afternoon and a formal at night, well you know just in case.  (Just kidding)  Do you have any suggestions please?  Thank you.

For the rest of the week, I can say that I am so happy I am finishing this term so I will be doing two more terms to have this over and graduate.  That makes me so happy! Thanks God!  I wish all my classmates having a lot of blessings!

How I feel today!

Well, I can’t say that today is my best day but I still feel happy and motivated.

One thing makes me feel so good today is the idea that I am going to be finishing the term next week. It is only remaining two more terms to be done with my legal assisting program at college.  Also, we will have the spring break pretty soon.  Even though I did not feel so well this week, I accomplished what I planned for this week except for the cleaning part of my apartment, that’s still a mess!

Work is going really good so far.  No complaints about it.  I am still getting some ideas to do my sister’s bachelorette party.  Not idea at all what to do yet but I guess I will have some later.  During this week I went to the doctor’s appointment for evaluations, and waiting for response any time soon.

Italian Recipes are my favorite for dinner!

I always thinking about what I am going to prepare for lunch or dinner. The Italian Recipes are my favorite recipes for some lunch or dinner.  I love to eat pasta in any kind and prefer to eat with white cream sauce instead tomatoes sauce.  I try to look up for some new recipes from the Internet and I found this recipe Pappardelle With Snap Peas.  It seems to be very easy to prepare and cook. I will have ready this meal in thirty minutes. Fifteen minutes to prepare and fifteen minutes to cook.

Ingredients
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the scallions, snap peas, jalapeno and 1/4 teaspoon salt and cook, stirring, until soft, about 4 minutes. Transfer to a serving bowl and toss with the parsley and chives; reserve the skillet. Meanwhile, cook the pappardelle in the boiling water until al dente, about 6 minutes. Reserve 2/3 cup of the cooking water, then drain the pasta and toss with the vegetables.
Pour the reserved cooking water into the skillet and add the remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Bring to a boil, whisking until the butter melts, then cook until reduced slightly, about 2 minutes. Pour the sauce over the pasta, sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese and toss. Top with the remaining 1/4 cup cheese.

I have never tried before the Pappardelle pasta and I tried this recipe last week for dinner and it was delightful.  This recipe is only 409 calories. I did not put jalapeno pepper.  The parsley, chives and cheese tasted really good with the pasta!

I think going for a surgery to lose weight.

I am having such a hard time over the last three to four years to control my weight.  I am pretty much eating too much food during the day and I am not able to control myself when I see food around me.  I am always hungry and now I am overweight 80-100 pounds.  Not only that, I am diabetic for more than seven years and I was hospitalized for almost a diabetic coma last January of this year.

I decided to talk to a bariatric surgery so I booked an appointment with the Weight Loss Surgery Center to speak with a doctor about my eating disorder. He told me that a Bariatric surgery it can be an excellent solution to help me to limit the amount of food I eat daily and facilitate my weight reduction as well.

But I still undecided of what is the best solution for me because my eating habits and health condition. I know there are several types of bariatric surgeries.  He talked to me about lap-band, gastric sleeve and bypass surgeries.  The most effective surgeries can be gastric sleeve and bypass.

I am going to keep doing some more researches about it until I can decide which surgery is right for me and what about the post recovery process. Do you know someone who has done this surgery in the past?

Getting ideas for my sister’s wedding

First thing I would say, I am very happy for my sister’s wedding and I really want this event be so especial for her and her fiancé, I know that this would change their life forever. They have been as a couple for five years now, and I amazed the way her fiancé proposed her to get marry.   My sister was at that time in church for an event.  She was praying for some people in the stage when suddenly he appeared at the stage and proposed her to get marry in front of everyone.  She was not expecting him at all so she cried and accepted his proposal.  Now they are engaged and she had a beautiful ring in her hand.  Oh sister, what a beautiful moment for both of you!

Right after telling this short story, her family and friends got connected through Facebook and over the phone celebrating the moment.  They are planning to get marry this year in September 13th.  Since they are planning this wedding for two months ago, now they have almost covered everything.  The ceremony in church and the wedding’s party are in the same day in a clubhouse nearby my sister’s house.

I am pretty sure she will love to have a lot of variety of flower’s colors in church and the wedding’s party place, and since they decided which colors will be wearing the bride maids, they picked up the colors of vivid green, beige and details in intense yellow.  I was giving a thought about the idea to have in the church some Dahlia in different colors and Chrysanthemum; perhaps, in white, yellow, orange, peach or other colors.

I still need some more ideas about the flowers, music, honeymoon’s places to go, etc. and I am open to any suggestions.

Make up ideas to decorate my living room

First thing I would like to consider is getting a large bouquet of vibrant of flowers and equally vivid color base so the living room will look brilliant.  Also, I think mixing materials and textures will help to improve the view from inside to outside. I will do next putting an instant end table with a stacked set of your favorite reads will be a splendid idea for me to read some of my favorite books or magazines in a quiet area of my living room. One of my favorite prints is the zebra print so I am thinking to add some contrast to a low-key sofa. Of course, if I trick the small space making feeling bigger, I will use transparent tables to give them an uncluttered feel.

I got the impression that adding some pattern on the floor adding tactile and visual interest to a room with a patterned rug and a living-room lamp it will make the living room to look more attractive and lovely to look at.  However, I am still thinking to add to the living room, in addition to this visual view a clean look, with a sofa that has long, lean lines and minimal cushioning.  Thus, I will put a rug to draw the eye in the direction of furniture with this gorgeous sofa.

Introducing versatile as a neutral color on the walls; for example, medium beige color, or inclusive, goldenrod orange to make appear the room brighter and larger and also by positioning a mirror to reflect light and a view like a contemporary linked oval mirror.

In short, I would like to make my living room a tremendous experience being sitting down for long hours reading my favorite books or magazines in the comfort of my home.

What are the best recipes for my friend’s party

For the next weekend, I was invited to my friend’s house and get together with some friends to share our stories and jokes.  We are planning to put a couple of videos to remember old days when we used to have twenty and some of my friends will bring their photo’s albums to share with us.

I talked to my friend and I was thinking it might be a great idea if I prepare two great recipes that I have searched through the Internet in the website www.allrecipes.com.  This site have daily awesome recipes ideas to prepare for every breakfast, lunch and dinner.  It helps me when I do not have idea what to cook the next day.

One of the recipe I thought it is a good one is the Chicken Quesadillas.  I believe it is a great recipe for parties, I can freeze the leftovers and also I will cut the chicken quesadillas into wedges to serve them with sour cream and salsa.

It is very easy to prepare so you need the right ingredients like one pound of the skinless boneless chicken breast diced; one ounce packet fajita seasoning; one tablespoon of vegetable oil; two each chopped green and red peppers and one onion; ten flour of tortillas; one package of Cheddar’s cheese; one tablespoon of bacon bits and one package of Monterey Jack’s cheese.

What you have to begin with is preparing the oven to cook. You have to preheat the broiler and grease a baking sheet. Toss the chicken with fajita seasoning and then spread onto the baking sheet. Place under the broiler and cook until the chicken pieces are no longer pink in the center about five minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the chopped green and red peppers, onion and chicken. Cook and stir until the vegetables have softened about ten minutes. Layer half of each tortilla with the chicken and vegetable mixture, then sprinkle with the Cheddar’s cheese, bacon bits and Monterey Jack’s cheese. Fold the tortillas in half and place onto a baking sheet. Bake Quesadillas in preheated oven until the cheese have melted about ten minutes.  That’s it and it is ready to eat!

What about the recipes of Baked Buffalo Wings.  This is a great one too! Easy to make hot wings and take only ten minutes for preparation but it need to be refrigerated for about an hour so the flour coating is firm and taste crispy.  And also, it can be added more cayenne or use a hot sauce to butter if you like them spicy.

The ingredients are not too many so begin getting twenty chicken wings; ¾ cup of all-purpose flour; ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper; ½ teaspoon of garlic powder; ½ teaspoon of salt; ½ teaspoon of hot pepper sauce such as Frank’s Red Hot.  The directions are simple. Place the flour, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and salt into a plastic bag and shake to mix. Add the chicken wings, seal, and toss until well coated with the flour mixture. Place the wings onto the prepared baking sheet and place into the refrigerator at least one hour.  Preheat oven to 400 degree F and whisk together the melted butter and hot sauce in a small bowl. Dip the wings into the butter mixture and place back on the baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is no longer pink in the center, and crispy on the outside, about 45 minutes. Turn the wings over halfway during cook so they cook evenly.  Not bad and taste so good!
